Kayaking on the Suwannee River

Suwannee River Rendezvous in Mayo, FL is one of our go to campgrounds. It sits on the banks of the historic Suwannee River and is a cool mix of good old fashioned campground and RV resort. The campground has its own spring, Convict Spring and is extremely dog friendly. Don’t forget to the pigeon races and chicken poo bingo and Saturdays. They are a hoot.

Moonshine Creek Campground

Moonshine Creek Campground in Balsam, NC is a campground, not a RV resort and that is just how the owners want it. It’s the kind of place where you spend your time sitting around and nice, warm creek-side campfire while the children roast marsh mellows. There is no shuffle board or swimming pools, just nature to keep you entertained and that is plenty. The park is only a couple of miles from the entrances to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and close to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. It is also convenient to Asheville, Maggie Valley and many other attractions in the mountains of North Carolina.

Ocean front camping

Beverly Beach Camptown RV Resort in Flagler Beach, FL is ocean front camping at its best. Wake up and stumble to the beach for a swim or a walk. Daytona Beach and St Augustine are short drives away if you actually feel like leaving. Oh, and the sunrises are amazing!
